Hrithik Roshan To Direct And Star In ‘Krrish 4’

MUMBAI (ANI)- Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is set to make his directorial debut with Krrish 4, the latest installment in the popular superhero franchise. The film will be produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF) in collaboration with veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan.

Rakesh Roshan confirmed the development on social media, sharing a heartfelt message for his son. “Duggu, 25 years ago, I launched you as an actor, and today, after 25 years, you are stepping into the director’s chair. Aditya Chopra and I are proud to support you in this new journey,” he wrote. He also revealed that it was Aditya Chopra who convinced Hrithik to take on the role of director.

Hrithik, who has been the face of the Krrish franchise since its inception, will continue to star in the film while also directing it for the first time. The Krrish series began with Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), followed by Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3(2013), cementing its status as India’s first major superhero franchise.

The news has sparked enthusiasm among fans and Hrithik’s close ones, with girlfriend Saba Azad expressing joy and sister Sunaina Roshan calling it a “proud milestone.”

Rakesh Roshan expressed confidence in the project, calling it a “rare and creatively exciting combination” of Hrithik and Aditya Chopra as director and producer.

Filming for Krrish 4 is set to begin early next year. Further details on casting and production timelines are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
