ICE Arrests Illegal Truck Driver After Fatal Crash

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -A truck driver identified as an undocumented immigrant from India was arrested following a fatal crash February 18 in suburban Indianapolis that left a 64-year-old man dead. Sukhdeep Singh is currently in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

According to witness statements cited by KXIN, Sukhdeep was driving a Freightliner semi-truck when he ran a red light and struck a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Terry Schultz. The impact pushed the pickup across a median and into another vehicle. Schultz was pronounced dead at the scene.

Federal law enforcement sources told Fox News that Sukhdeep entered the United States illegally in 2018. Because he was a minor at the time, he was released under the 1997 Flores consent decree, which requires that undocumented minors be released to a parent or adult relative rather than held in detention. Records show he later obtained a commercial driver’s license in May 2025.
