Indian American Declared Finalist in National Kindness Speech Contest; Looking for Public Vote to Win

BALTIMORE, DE – A US contest is underway to try to spread kindness across the country. The Reno, NV based, Think Kindness, is holding a speech competition in which young students are asked to write, perform and record a two-minute inspirational video on why kindness matters.

A Delaware Indian American 8-year-old, Ariyana Kurpad has been declared one of the seven finalists after her speech was judged by some of the top youth speakers of the country.

Kurpad believes that kindness is a beautiful gift we give to others and to ourselves. In the allocated 2-minute recording time, she vividly suggests that we create a joyful and exciting world by following Mahatma Gandhi’s advice that we must be the change we wish to see.

She brilliantly offers the solution of how kindness can be achieved – CARE, standing for Community, Action, Respect, and Encouragement.
