WEST PALM BEACH, FL – U.S. Vice President-elect JD Vance on November 6 expressed heartfelt gratitude to his Indian American wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance, for her unwavering support throughout his journey alongside President-elect Donald Trump. “THANK YOU! To my beautiful wife for making it possible to do this. To President Donald J. Trump, for giving me such an opportunity to serve our country at this level. And to the American people, for their trust. I will never stop fighting for ALL of you,” Vance wrote in a post on X.
During his victory speech in Florida, Trump acknowledged his running mate and his spouse, referring to him for the first time as “Vice President-elect of the United States.”
A former critic of Trump, Vance hailed the election outcome as “historic,” calling it “the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America.” He added, “Under President Trump’s leadership, we’re never going to stop fighting for you, for your dreams, and for the future of your children. And after the greatest political comeback in American history, we’re going to lead the greatest economic comeback in American history.”
JD and Usha married in 2014, celebrating their union with a traditional Hindu ceremony. They are parents to three children: sons Ewan and Vivek, and daughter Mirabel.
