Mindy Kaling On Her Last Pregnancy: Was Confined To Bed

LOS ANGELES, CA– Hollywood actress, writer, and producer Mindy Kaling has revealed that she spent the final six weeks of her last pregnancy on bed rest before welcoming her third child, daughter Anne, in February 2024.

The 46-year-old actress shared the experience during an appearance on the Giggly Squad podcast, describing the period as unexpectedly enjoyable despite the medical restrictions.

“I was on bed rest for my last baby, who is two. The last six weeks, I was confined to bed. It was heaven to just lie in bed, take all of my Zooms and it was like, ‘I have a medical condition,’” Kaling said.

She joked that the situation even gave her an excuse to attend important meetings from bed while wearing comfortable clothes.

“I have to look bad Zooming with Bela Bajaria, Chief Content Officer at Netflix, from bed wearing sweatpants and she just has to deal with it. It’s the best,” Kaling said.

Kaling, who rose to prominence playing Kelly Kapoor on the television comedy series ‘The Office’ and later created and starred in ‘The Mindy Project’, is also the mother of daughter Katherine, 8, and son Spencer, 5. (IANS)
