News Corp Appoints Lavanya Chandrashekar As New CFO

NEW YORK, NY– The Rupert Murdoch led News Corp has announced that Lavanya Chandrashekar will succeed Susan Panuccio as Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2025.

Chandrashekar brings nearly 30 years of experience in international finance and investor relations, having held senior positions at leading consumer-facing companies such as Procter & Gamble, Mondelēz, and most recently Diageo, where she served as CFO from 2021 to September 2024.

Chandrashekar’s compensation package at News Corp will include an annual base salary of $1.4 million, an annual bonus with a target of $2.5 million, and a long-term equity incentive with a target grant date value of $2.6 million, according to a regulatory filing. Additionally, she will receive a one-time equity bonus with a target grant date value of $2.6 million and a $500,000 payment to assist with her relocation to the New York City metropolitan area.
