SANTA ANA, CA – The Orange County Registrar of Voters is inviting public participation in the review and update of its 2021-2025 Final Election Administration Plan (EAP). The EAP, a guiding document under the Voter’s Choice Act (VCA), outlines how elections are administered, covering voter education, Vote Center and Ballot Drop Box operations, language and accessibility services, security measures, and contingency plans.

The Registrar of Voters launched an updated EAP webpage this week at ocvote.gov/eap, detailing various opportunities for the public to provide feedback.

Starting in July 2025, a series of 15 Public Workshops will be hosted throughout Orange County from Saturday, July 12 to Saturday, August 2. Workshop dates, times, and locations are available on the EAP’s “Get Involved” page. Language assistance will be provided at select workshops, and accommodations can be requested by calling 714-567-5039 at least four business days in advance.

Community organizations can request small group meetings with Registrar of Voters staff using the online Meeting Request Form. These sessions, available in-person or virtually, are designed for groups of one to ten persons to discuss the current EAP and offer feedback. Additionally, individuals can submit feedback directly via the online Public Input Form, addressing specific areas covered in the EAP.

To receive updates, including community meeting announcements regarding the EAP Update, the public can join the Registrar of Voters’ Interested Parties email list.

The Voter’s Choice Act mandates a review of the County’s Election Administration Plan in 2025. Any proposed amendments to the Plan must be submitted to the California Secretary of State for approval by February 2, 2026. The ocvote.gov/eap website offers the latest information, including a timeline and frequently asked questions about the EAP update process.
