Stop AAPI Hate Launches New Political Group Ahead Of Midterms
India-West News Desk
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Stop AAPI Hate has launched a new 501(c)(4) advocacy arm, Stop AAPI Hate Action, marking a strategic shift toward direct political mobilization ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
The organization said it plans to raise approximately $1 million for a nationwide voter contact program focused on engaging Asian American and Pacific Islander voters in competitive House districts.
The initiative comes as the group points to growing concerns within immigrant communities, including South Asians, over immigration enforcement actions, anti-immigrant rhetoric, and challenges involving H-1B visas, green cards, birthright citizenship, and voting rights protections.
Manjusha Kulkarni, co-founder of Stop AAPI Hate, said the organization’s work is evolving beyond documenting anti-Asian discrimination toward building long-term political engagement.
“Stop AAPI Hate has been at the forefront of calling out and combating anti-AAPI hate — and now, we’re building the political power needed to defeat it on every level,” Kulkarni said in a statement.
The new advocacy arm plans to recruit volunteers nationwide to connect with AAPI voters through multilingual outreach efforts, including phone banking in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and Korean.
The campaign will also include community-based outreach efforts such as South Asian-to-South Asian and Filipino-to-Filipino voter engagement conducted in English.
Beyond the 2026 midterms, the organization said it aims to strengthen long-term civic participation and expand organizing networks in regions where AAPI engagement resources remain limited.
Andy Wong, managing director of advocacy for Stop AAPI Hate Action, said the effort is intended to build sustained political involvement within AAPI communities nationwide.
The nationwide voter mobilization effort is expected to begin next month.

The time is right to combat AAPI hate, which has reached epidemic scale in the United States. I believe the STOP AAPI HATE organization will need more money to combat the growing hate movement by the MAGA associates. However, AAPI communities can double up their volunteering efforts to stop this manannace as soon as possible.
