Chopra is returning after a decade, having made her debut as an Oscar presenter at the 88th Academy Awards in 2016. With actor Liev Schreiber, she presented the award for Best Film Editing to Margaret Sixel for ‘Mad Max: Fury Road.’

She and her husband, Nick Jonas, also announced the nominees for the 93rd Academy Awards in 2021.

Nanjiani, alongside Lupita Nyong’o, presented the award for Best Production Design to the team of the film ‘The Shape of Water’ at the 90th Academy Awards in 2018.

He also co-announced the 2019 Oscar nominations with actress Tracee Ellis Ross.

In 2025, a short film, ‘Anuja,’ which she backed, was nominated for Best Live-Action Short Film.

Nanjiani, a prolific Pakistani American actor, comedian, podcaster, and screenwriter, is best known for his roles on ‘Silicon Valley’ and ‘Welcome to Chippendales.’ He co-wrote and starred in the 2017 romantic comedy ‘The Big Sick’ for which he and his wife, Emily V. Gordon, were nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

The 98th Oscars award ceremony will be held on March 15, 2026, at the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC, streamed live on Hulu and will air live in more than 200 territories worldwide.

This year, Ryan Coogler’s ‘Sinners,’ a supernatural film set in the 1930s South, leads with 16 nominations, a new record.
