UDAIPUR – Ace badminton player PV Sindhu married Venkata Datta Sai, the Executive Director at Hyderabad-based Posidex Technologies, in an intimate ceremony on December 22. The celebration took place in Udaipur, with close family members and friends in attendance. The couple exchanged vows in traditional attire, radiating joy and elegance.

Two days after the wedding, Sindhu shared her first reaction on social media, posting a series of photos with a heart emoji. The pictures captured the couple’s radiant smiles and the beauty of the ceremony.

The wedding also saw the presence of notable guests, including officials from the Rajasthan government, who shared the first glimpse of the event on his social media account. Sindhu’s father mentioned that the ceremony was planned in December, a rare break in her otherwise packed badminton schedule.

A Reception to Remember

Following their Udaipur wedding, the couple hosted a stylish reception. Sindhu turned heads in an ivory tulle lehenga designed by Falguni Shane Peacock, adorned with Swarovski crystals, sequins, and intricate embroidery. The ensemble featured a full-sleeved blouse with a cutout bodice, a heavily embellished skirt, and a sheer dupatta. She accessorized with a diamond necklace accented by emerald pendants, matching earrings, and her diamond engagement ring, exuding grace and glamour.

Sai complemented her look in a sleek black velvet bandhgala, featuring intricate silk embroidery and sequin detailing, paired with classic black trousers. The duo’s coordinated style added to the sophistication of the event.

A Champion’s Legacy

PV Sindhu, one of India’s most celebrated athletes, has five World Championship medals, including gold in 2019, and two Olympic medals—a silver at Rio 2016 and a bronze at Tokyo 2020. Achieving a career-high world ranking of No. 2 in 2017, Sindhu’s illustrious journey has cemented her as a trailblazer in Indian sports.
