Ro Khanna Gets Steve Bannon’s Approval

SACRAMENTO, CA — In a surprising turn of events, Steve Bannon, a prominent figure in the MAGA movement, praised progressive Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) on Governor Gavin Newsom’s This is Gavin Newsom podcast.

Bannon, known for his conservative views, singled out Khanna as one of the top economic populists in the Democratic Party.

During the podcast’s second episode, Bannon spoke highly of Khanna’s approach to economic issues, calling it “economic patriotism.” He even joked that Khanna’s views were similar to his own and that of economist Peter Navarro, both of whom have promoted “economic nationalism.” Both Bannon and Navarro have served jail time for contempt of Congress.

Bannon also praised two other Democrats, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) and former Senator Sherrod Brown(D-OH) for their economic populist stances.
