WASHINGTON, DC – Senate Democrats have launched an online portal for whistleblowers to report alleged wrongdoing within federal agencies. The move follows a series of executive actions by President Donald Trump that have faced opposition.

In a public letter addressed to civil service employees and other public servants, Senate Democrats outlined the purpose of the portal, which allows individuals to report abuses of power, threats to public safety, and other concerns such as retaliation, wasteful spending, fraud, and criminal activity.

“Whistleblowers are essential in helping uncover fraud and abuse in the federal government. If you have information you want to share about wrongdoing, abuse of power, and threats to public safety, we stand ready to support you in your pursuit of truth and justice,” read the letter from Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and Gary Peters, the top Democrat on the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

The administration’s measures have led to multiple legal challenges, particularly regarding hiring, federal workforce protections, and the establishment of the Department of Government Efficiency headed by billionaire Elon Musk.

Senate Democrats describe the portal as a mechanism for oversight and accountability.
