
Shrina Kurani Joins IBank As Deputy Director Of Venture Capital

SACRAMENTO, CA— The California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank (IBank) has appointed Shrina Kurani as Deputy Director of Venture Capital. Kurani will lead efforts to increase venture capital investments that support California’s innovation-driven economy.
With extensive experience in venture capital and sustainability, Kurani has played a key role at IBank since 2023 as a Venture Specialist, advancing funding opportunities for high-growth startups, the bank said in a statement. She is also a Managing Partner at SNØCAP, an early-stage investment firm, and previously served as Vice President of Business at Republic, where she worked to make startup investments more accessible.
In 2022, Kurani ran for election to the U.S. House to represent California’s 41st Congressional District but lost in the primary.
Kurani holds a Master of Science in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside.
