NEW YORK, NY – Loca Loka, the vibrant new entrant in the international alcoBev scene, has announced an innovative fusion of Indian and Mexican cultures through their premium Tequila Blanco and Reposado. Crafted entirely from 100% Agave in Jalisco, Mexico, this new brand is set to make a strategic launch in the US.

The brainchild of cultural luminaries including Indian film star Rana Daggubati, musician Anirudh Ravichander, and entrepreneur Harsha Vadlamudi, Managing Partner at Ironhill India, Loca Loka aims to redefine tequila consumption worldwide. Recognizing the burgeoning appreciation for craft spirits in the U.S., particularly among the diverse Indian diaspora, the brand chose the American market as its initial launchpad.

“Loca Loka isn’t just about tequila; it’s a celebration of the blended cultural heritage of India and Mexico,” explained Harsha Vadlamudi. The name itself merges Spanish (“LOCA,” meaning crazy) and Sanskrit (“LOKA,” meaning world), symbolizing the adventurous spirit and global appeal of the product. Distilled from the finest highland agave, Loca Loka tequila promises a harmonious balance of sweetness and spice, capturing the festive essence of Mexico and the aromatic spices of Indian cuisine.

“While whiskey remains India’s most popular spirit, Tequila Blend is rapidly gaining ground,” Vadlamudi added, highlighting the brand’s ambition to introduce Indian American consumers to the rich traditions of tequila while evoking familiar flavors from their own cultural backgrounds.

Loca Loka will launch with two distinct variants: Tequila Blanco, featuring fruity flavors from cooked agave and floral notes from highland agaves, and Tequila Reposado, aged in French and American oak barrels for a richer aroma. Both variants are meticulously crafted to cater to the evolving palates of global spirits enthusiasts.

To kick off its market presence, Loca Loka will initially be available in select retail stores across Los Angeles, New York City, and New Jersey, with plans for rapid expansion into Illinois, Florida, and Texas by August. The Blanco variant will retail at $45.99 for a 750 ml bottle, while the Reposado will be priced at $54.99, positioning Loca Loka competitively within the premium tequila blend segment.
