PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Indus Entrepreneur- New Jersey Chapter, a leading professional development organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship, celebrated its 15th anniversary at a glittering dinner attended by over 300 members and community leaders from various non-profit organizations.

Navneet Chugh, founder and CEO of Chugh LLP, a full services law and accounting firm and key strategic partner of TiE globally delivered a memorable opening speech filled with hilarious and witty anecdotes that entertained the audience and captured the essence of the event. Reflecting on the occasion, Chugh said “It was an honor to be part of the TiE NJ 15th anniversary celebration. I want to acknowledge the exceptional leadership of Raman Kapur, the significant contributions of various non-profit organizations, and the diverse cultural associations that make our community thrive. It’s inspiring to witness the positive impact TiE has had on the global entrepreneurial ecosystem.”

During the celebration, Kapur, the outgoing President of TiE NJ, was named to the position of Chairman in recognition of his leadership and contributions. Reflecting on his transformative years as President, Kapur expressed his gratitude for the support he has received and warmly welcomed incoming President Dr. Suresh U. Kumar, referring to him as a “Renaissance Man”, due to his significant contributions as a serial entrepreneur, professor, mentor, angel investor, non-profit leader, and author.

Kumar, in his speech, highlighted the qualities of all great leaders, what he termed the 5Cs: Charisma, Character, Competence, Compassion, and Courage. Drawing upon examples from India’s freedom struggle – the mutiny of the Royal Indian Navy and the Red Fort trials of 1946 – which for the first time united all Indians and set the stage for the British to exit India,  Kumar emphasized the importance of unity among various South Asian community organizations in NJ. Kumar stated, ” Together, we will build on TiE NJ’s strong foundation and create a thriving ecosystem that empowers entrepreneurs to make a lasting impact in our community.”

Neetu Randhawa, the Executive Director of TiE NJ recognized the Charter Members, Directors, SIG Chairs, and Advisors, all volunteers who have been the key contributors to the organization’s success.

Earlier, the event began with a welcome from Diya Matthews, Board Member of TiE-NJ and Partner at Chugh LLP.

The evening was filled with networking opportunities, meaningful conversations, and a vibrant ambiance that truly embodied the spirit of TiE NJ.
