WASHINGTON DC – Donald Trump’s speaking habits have become a significant challenge for White House stenographers, with the sheer volume of his remarks putting a strain on their workload. On Inauguration Day alone, he spoke over 22,000 words, followed by an additional 17,000 during visits to disaster areas in North Carolina and California, the Associated Press reported.

The heavy demand on stenographers has led to discussions about hiring additional staff to keep up with the pace, at a time when his administration, advised by Elon Musk is firing federal employees, remarking on waste.

This extensive speaking style contrasts sharply with his predecessor, Joe Biden, whose first week in office saw him speak for 2 hours and 36 minutes, using 24,259 words. In comparison, Trump last week spoke for nearly 7 hours and 44 minutes, delivering over 81,000 words—more than the combined length of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Hamlet, and Richard III, the news agency said.

Trump’s frequent remarks are part of a long-standing strategy to maintain attention. As a businessman, he cultivated publicity, and as president, he continues to dominate the media cycle with his often-unscripted comments, the AP opined.

This style of communication has become a defining feature of Trump’s presidency, shaping both his political image and his relationship with the media and public.
