WASHINGTON, DC — Vantara, the wildlife rehabilitation center in Jamnagar, has been awarded the Global Humane Conservation Certified distinction for its high standards of animal care. The certification, granted by the Global Humane Society, recognizes its commitment to animal welfare and conservation.
The Global Humane Society, the international arm of the American Humane Society, is the world’s largest certifier of animal welfare practices. The certification process included an independent on-site audit that evaluated factors such as housing, food, water, and staff training.
“We are pleased to announce that Vantara has met the science-based standards to become Global Humane Conservation Certified,” stated Dr. Robin Ganzert, President and CEO of Global Humane Society. “Our independent audit revealed that animal welfare is prioritized and conservation is advanced at Vantara.”
Vantara, a 3,500-acre private center spearheaded by Anant Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Industries, features advanced veterinary facilities, including MRI suites and surgical theaters. The center focuses on protecting endangered species, safeguarding genetic diversity, and restoring habitats. It also champions rewilding and reintroduction efforts.
