Vikas Khanna Flags Health Risks At Mumbai Airport
MUMBAI-Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna, who recently returned to Mumbai to resume shooting for the upcoming season of ‘MasterChef India’, has raised concerns about a potential health issue at the city’s airport.
On January 2, he posted a photograph of the carpet at Terminal 2 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. He said the carpeting could pose health risks for people with respiratory conditions.
“Though I feel that MUMBAI AIRPORT is super-efficient, I strongly request the administration to remove this carpet. It is beyond cleaning. On behalf of every asthmatic and people with bronchial issues, this could be fatal,” he wrote.
His message resonated online, drawing attention to the need for accessibility, cleanliness and health-first infrastructure in public spaces. At the same time, Khanna praised the airport administration for its overall maintenance, noting that removing the carpet would bring the facility closer to perfection.
Known for speaking up on issues beyond the kitchen, Khanna’s note reflected the empathy and responsibility often associated with his role on ‘MasterChef India’, a platform that celebrates progress, inclusivity and care. (IANS)
