Vivek Ramaswamy Family Welcomes Daughter Savithri

COLUMBUS, OH – Entrepreneur and Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife, Apoorva, have announced the birth of their daughter, Savithri. The couple shared the news on social media on February 4, along with a family photograph from the hospital.

The newborn is the couple’s third child. In a message posted on social media, Ramaswamy said both mother and baby were doing well and expressed gratitude for the support the family has received. “Apoorva and Vivek are happy to share the news of their daughter’s birth, Savithri,” he wrote. “Mom and baby are doing well, and the family is deeply thankful for the prayers and kind messages from Ohioans and friends across the country.” The family lives just outside Columbus.

Ramaswamy is the son of immigrants from Kerala who worked at a General Electric factory in Ohio. Now 40, he is campaigning for governor of Ohio following a 2024 presidential bid centered on criticism of what he described as “woke” culture and a pledge to dismantle affirmative action. Forbes has estimated his net worth at $1.8 billion.
