CINCINNATI, OH — Democratic wins across New York City, New Jersey, and Virginia triggered a candid acknowledgment from Republican leader and Ohio gubernatorial contender Vivek Ramaswamy, who admitted the GOP “got our a**es handed to us.”

Speaking in the wake of the November 4 results, Ramaswamy highlighted two key lessons for his party’s path forward.

First, he stressed the urgent need for Republicans to address economic pressures on everyday Americans. He called for actionable strategies to lower the costs of energy, groceries, healthcare, and housing. “Make the American Dream affordable—and show how we’re going to do it,” Ramaswamy said.

His second point warned against the pitfalls of identity-driven politics. He himself has been the victim of trolls and high profile Maga figures attacking him and his family on  his Hindu faith and being from India. The H1B visa debate has also seen him in the firing line. There are also ongoing tensions within GOP ranks over Second Lady Usha Vance’s Hindu faith.

Labeling it “the woke Left’s game,” he said that focusing on race or religion undermines core Republican values. “We don’t care about the color of your skin or your religion. We care about the content of your character,” he stated.
