Wes Anderson Thanks Dev Patel, Ben Kingley After Oscar Win

LOS ANGELES,CA – After several nominations over the years, Wes Anderson won his first-ever Academy Award but was not there in person to accept the award on March 11, here.
Netflix where his ‘The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar’ is streaming, shared his statement. “If I could have been there, I (along with Steven Rales) would have said ‘Thank You’ to the family of Roald Dahl; the team at Netflix; Benedict [Cumberbatch] and Ralph [Fiennes] and Ben Kingsley and Dev [Patel] … and more [of the cast and crew],” the filmmaker stated.
Written, co-produced, and directed by Wes Anderson, based on the 1977 short story ‘The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar’ by Roald Dahl, it won him an Oscar. for best live-action short film. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular character alongside Ralph Fiennes, Dev Patel, Ben Kingsley, and Richard Ayoade. The story sees a rich man learning about a clairvoyant guru who could see without using his eyes through the power of a particular form of Yoga, then setting out to master the skill to cheat at gambling but finally learning life’s lessons.
