‘Payal’ Beat Took 17 Years To Release: Honey Singh

MUMBAI -Popular rapper and music producer Yo Yo Honey Singh on May 20 revealed that he had created the beats for his song “Payal”, featuring actress Nora Fatehi, back in 2007 before finally using them in 2024.

Honey Singh, whose real name is Hirdesh Singh, shared a video of an elderly man dancing to the track and said his music connects across generations.

“My beats makes generations move… M genius… Made this beat in 2007 at Rohini my guruji’s flat In finally used in 2024 (sic),” the rapper wrote in the caption.

Born in Hoshiarpur, Honey Singh rose to prominence with his 2011 Punjabi album ‘International Villager’. (IANS)
