Sonu Nigam Reflects On The Start Of His Musical Journey

MUMBAI — Acclaimed playback singer Sonu Nigam on June 5 revisited one of the earliest chapters of his musical journey, sharing memories from the recording of ‘Mohabbat Ki Qeemat Ada Hum Karenge’ from the 1993 film ‘Bewafa Sanam’.

Taking to Instagram, Nigam posted a series of photographs from the recording session held at Filmistan Studio in Goregaon, Mumbai, in September 1993.

Reflecting on the moment, the singer wrote, “My beginning (1) | Mohabbat Ki Keemat Ada Hum Karenge – Bewafa Sanam | September, 1993 Filmistan Studio Goregaon..”

Nigam began his career in the early 1990s and went on to become one of India’s most celebrated playback singers. He first gained recognition through a series of popular songs in the 1990s and later built a career spanning more than three decades. He has recorded thousands of songs in multiple Indian and international languages and was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor, in 2022.
