From Storytelling To Social Impact: Manasvi Mamgai Launches Podcast
By Angad Nehru
Model, actress, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Manasvi Mamgai is launching a new chapter in her journey — one that blends storytelling, education, cinema, philanthropy, and social impact.
Mamgai, who was crowned Miss India in 2010, has built a diverse career spanning film, television, and international entertainment. She has appeared in projects including the Bollywood action film Action Jackson alongside Ajay Devgn and director Prabhu Deva, as well as the acclaimed legal drama series The Trial opposite Kajol. She also appeared as a contestant on Bigg Boss in 2023. Today, Mamgai is expanding her footprint globally as a producer, currently producing a feature film starring Academy Award-winning actor Al Pacino. Through 32Red Entertainment, Mamgai and her team are developing an ambitious international slate spanning film, television, and premium streaming projects focused on globally resonant storytelling.

This week, Mamgai officially launched the first episode of the SAMA Podcast, featuring prominent attorney, CPA, entrepreneur, and community leader Navneet Chugh as the inaugural guest. The podcast is part of a much larger vision called SAMA, an initiative Mamgai describes as “a long-term movement to empower underserved communities and create opportunities for the next generation of creators, storytellers, and changemakers.”
The first episode is now live on YouTube, while SAMA’s growing digital presence is also active on Instagram and other social media platforms.
Speaking with India West, Mamgai shared the inspiration behind SAMA, the goals of the podcast, and her ambitious 10-year vision for building an institution that combines education, creativity, mentorship, and film.
“For me, SAMA is not just a media platform or a podcast,” Mamgai said. “It’s about creating access — access to education, access to creative opportunities, and access to mentorship for people who may never otherwise receive those opportunities.”
Mamgai explained that the current phase of SAMA is focused primarily on supporting education initiatives in underserved communities across India while simultaneously building platforms for emerging artists and creators.
“We want to identify talented young people who may not have financial resources or industry connections and help give them visibility and opportunity,” she said.
According to Mamgai, the idea evolved after years of observing the challenges faced by aspiring actors, filmmakers, musicians, and artists — especially those from smaller towns and disadvantaged backgrounds.
“There is incredible talent everywhere,” she said. “But talent alone is not enough. People need guidance, exposure, funding, and belief.”
Why a Podcast?
Mamgai believes podcasts have become one of the most powerful modern storytelling tools.
“Long-form conversations allow people to connect in a real and meaningful way,” she said. “Social media is fast and fragmented, but podcasts give space for depth, honesty, ideas, and inspiration.”
She said the goal of the SAMA Podcast is to feature entrepreneurs, artists, lawyers, educators, social leaders, investors, creators, and visionaries whose journeys can inspire younger generations.
Mamgai chose Navneet Chugh as the first guest because of his multidisciplinary career spanning law, business, accounting, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and community leadership.
“Navneet represents a unique blend of professional success and social consciousness,” Mamgai said. “He understands business, but he also deeply believes in community building and giving back. That aligned perfectly with what SAMA stands for.”
A 10-Year Vision
Mamgai says the podcast is only the beginning.
Over the next decade, SAMA aims to evolve into a much larger ecosystem that includes educational initiatives, creative development programs, mentorship platforms, and eventually a film and media institute.
“Our long-term vision is to build an institution that nurtures storytellers and creators from the ground up,” she said. “We want to create a bridge between talent and opportunity.”
Among the future goals being explored are:
• Scholarships and educational programs for underserved youth
• Creative mentorship initiatives
• Workshops and training programs
• Collaborations with filmmakers and artists
• Development of a film and media education institute
• Creation of a film fund to support emerging creative talent
• Global partnerships connecting India and the international diaspora
Mamgai said she wants SAMA to eventually become a platform that supports both social impact and artistic excellence.
“Cinema and storytelling have the power to change culture,” she said. “If we can help even a few extraordinary creators who otherwise would never get a chance, that can have ripple effects for generations.”
Building Community Through Storytelling
Mamgai emphasized that SAMA is designed to be collaborative and community-oriented.
“This is not about one person,” she said. “It’s about building a movement where successful people help lift others.”
She hopes professionals from the Indian diaspora — including entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, artists, executives, and investors — will eventually participate as mentors, supporters, collaborators, and advisors.
“There are so many successful Indians around the world,” she said. “If we can channel even a small portion of that knowledge, mentorship, and capital toward empowering young people, we can create something truly transformational.”
Launching at the Right Time
The launch comes at a moment when podcasts, digital storytelling, and creator-led educational platforms are rapidly reshaping global media.
Mamgai believes younger audiences are increasingly looking for authenticity, purpose, and meaningful conversations.
“People today want substance,” she said. “They want stories that feel real and human.”
She hopes SAMA can become a trusted platform for those conversations.
