Malabar Gold Expands U.S. Presence With New Santa Clara Showroom

SANTA CLARA, CA- Malabar Gold & Diamonds has opened a new showroom at Santa Clara Town Centre, marking the retailer’s eighth location in the United States and 11th in North America, including three stores in Canada.

The showroom was inaugurated by Dr. K. Srikar Reddy, Consul General of India, San Francisco. Attendees included Santa Clara Vice Mayor Albert Gonzalez; Shamlal Ahamed, Managing Director, International Operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds; Joseph Eapen, Regional Head, North America Operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds; Jasar R., Branch Head-USA, Malabar Gold & Diamonds; members of the company’s leadership team, customers and community members.

The Santa Clara location is the company’s second showroom in California after Los Angeles and reflects its continuing expansion across North America.

“The Santa Clara showroom is our second in California, building on the success of our Los Angeles showroom,” Ahamed said in a company statement. “As the home of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara is a market with tremendous potential. North America is where we have charted one of our most ambitious expansion roadmaps.”

The showroom offers more than 30,000 jewelry designs across 25 brands and collections, including gold, diamond and precious gemstone jewelry. It also features a bespoke design service for customers seeking customized pieces.

Malabar Group Chairman M.P. Ahammad said the opening underscores the importance of North America to the company’s international growth plans.

“North America operations continue to be a key driver of Malabar Gold & Diamonds’ international growth,” Ahammad said in a company statement. “With the opening of our Santa Clara showroom, we reaffirm our commitment to bringing the art and craftsmanship of India to customers across North America.”

Following the Santa Clara launch, the company plans to open its ninth U.S. showroom in Seattle in the coming weeks. Additional locations are planned in San Francisco, Tampa, Virginia, Detroit, Houston, Charlotte, Phoenix, New York and San Diego. In Canada, future expansion is planned for Calgary, Vancouver and Montreal.
