Akshaye Khanna Stays Focused And Quiet On Set, Says Co-Star

MUMBAI-Actor Vijay Vikram Singh said Akshaye Khanna on the sets of ‘Ikka’, remained quiet while shooting because of his deep involvement in his character.

Singh said Khanna generally does not talk much on set and stays completely focused on his role. “And I was among those few people with whom Akshaye sir had a good conversation for 5-7 minutes. So, I consider it my achievement.”

In the 2026 Netflix legal thriller ‘Ikka’, Khanna plays Shauryamann Gaur, also known as Rehman Dakait, a mysterious, arrogant and intimidating antagonist facing charges in a high-profile attempted murder and homicide case. The character sets up a tense courtroom battle when he is represented by his former rival, an honest and uncompromising defense lawyer played by actor Sunny Deol.

Singh also recalled how excited he was when he first met Deol on the sets of the film, saying he ended up making an impromptu reference to Deol’s earlier film ‘Damini’.

“When I met Sunny sir for the first time, I did not even realize what I was saying. I told him, ‘Sunny, sir, you are asking for a date from Damini, and finally I will give you a date in this movie.’”

“Later, I realized that I was so excited that I did not know what I was saying. But he is such a sweet person that he laughed a lot. In fact, he made a video with me on the same topic when we met at the success party.” (IANS)
