GV Prakash Dedicates Third National Award For Music To Audience
CHENNAI-Music director G V Prakash Kumar, who won his third National Film Award for Best Background Score for director Rajkumar Periasamy’s ‘Amaran’, has dedicated the prestigious honor to his fans, saying the award belongs to them as much as it does to him.
Sharing a note on social media after his win at the 72nd National Film Awards, G V Prakash said winning the honor for the third time was “truly a blessing” and that he accepted it with “a heart full of gratitude.”
He thanked the jury and selection committee for the recognition, producer Kamal Haasan and director Rajkumar Periasamy for their support, actors Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, the entire cast and crew of ‘Amaran’, and specially acknowledged his sound engineer, Jehovasan, for helping bring the film’s music to life. He also expressed gratitude to his family, his team of musicians and technicians, his friends, and everyone who had stood by him throughout his journey.
Saving his most heartfelt thanks for his supporters, he wrote, “Above all, I am forever grateful to my fans. Your unwavering love, constant encouragement, and endless faith in me have always been my greatest strength and inspiration. Every note I compose is dedicated to all of you. This award belongs as much to each one of you as it does to me.”
Congratulating him on the achievement, Oscar-winning composer A R posted, “A proud moment for our family as we celebrate our 10th National Award together. Your passion, sincerity, and dedication to music continue to inspire. Wishing you many more milestones ahead.” (IANS)
