Hema Malini Shares New York Memories From ISKCON Visit
Mumbai — Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini recalled her visit to the first ISKCON temple in New York on the occasion of Srila Prabhupada Jayanti.
The actress shared a throwback from her visit to the historic temple at 26 Second Avenue, New York, which she visited on July 29 and 30, 2026. Sharing the memory with her followers on Instagram, Hema described the humble storefront as the place where Srila Prabhupada began a worldwide spiritual movement.
Paying tribute to Srila Prabhupada, the actress wrote, “On the auspicious eve of Srila Prabhupada Jayanti, revisiting a most inspiring memory – my visit to the first ISKCON temple at 26 Second Avenue, New York on 29th and 30th July 2026. The actress also shared videos and photographs from her visit, including moments from her welcome at the temple, along with several solo pictures taken at the historic location.
Hema Malini has maintained a close association with ISKCON, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, for several years and is a life member of the spiritual organization. Her connection with the movement includes visits to its Juhu temple in Mumbai as well as participation in ISKCON celebrations and international gatherings.
She was also part of the ISKCON 60 Origins Gala held in New York, highlighting her continued association with the organization and its events. (IANS)
