CINCINNATI, OH– Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced that Shailesh G. Jejurikar, currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer, will become President and Chief Executive Officer from January 1, next year. He will succeed Jon Moeller, who will transition to the role of Executive Chairman, guiding the Board of Directors and the new CEO.

Jejurikar, who joined P&G in 1989, is an alumnus of Mumbai University and the Indian Institute of Management,Lucknow. His nearly 36-year career at P&G has involved diverse leadership roles across various businesses and regions, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of global operations.

As Chief Operating Officer since 2021, Jejurikar holds profit and loss responsibility for P&G’s Enterprise Markets, which include Latin America, India, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe. His mandate also covers key global functions such as Information Technology, Global Business Services, Sales, Market Operations, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution, and New Business development.

Jejurikar’s broad P&G experience includes leadership in Health & Beauty Care, Home Care, Fabric Care, and P&G Professional, spanning markets in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He is recognized for identifying growth opportunities by addressing consumer needs effectively and consistently achieving business targets.

Upon his appointment, Jejurikar stated, “I am honored to serve as P&G’s CEO. P&G’s people, brands, and capabilities in innovation and operational excellence provide a strong basis for sustained growth and value creation.”

Jejurikar’s appointment reflects a broader trend of Indian-origin executives assuming prominent leadership roles in major global corporations. He remains active in various civic and business organizations, including serving as Board Chairman for the Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) and as a Board Member for OTIS Elevator Co. and The Christ Hospital.
