DALLAS, TX – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has initiated the deportation process for Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, an undocumented immigrant from Cuba accused of the brutal beheading and murder of Nagamallaiah Chandra, here. The crime has drawn condemnation from across the political spectrum, including from President Donald Trump.
h Chandra, 41, was fatally attacked and decapitated at a motel on September 10. According to media reports and a disturbing social media video, the violence reportedly erupted after an argument where Nagamallaiah told Martinez not to use a broken washing machine. Martinez, 37, allegedly used a machete to attack Nagamallaiah in front of the victim’s spouse and child, before kicking the head “around like a soccer ball” and placing it in a dumpster. Martinez was arrested by the Dallas Police Department and has been charged with capital murder. ICE has since lodged a detainer for his federal arrest and removal.
In a post Trump reacted to the killing, promising that the accused would be prosecuted to “the fullest extent of the law” and “charged with murder in the first degree!” Trump also blamed the previous Biden administration for releasing the murder accused into the community. “I am aware of the terrible reports regarding the murder of Chandra Nagamallaiah, a well-respected person in Dallas, Texas, who was brutally beheaded, in front of his wife and son, by an ILLEGAL ALIEN from Cuba who should have never been in our Country,” Trump posted.
“This individual was previously arrested for terrible crimes, including child sex abuse, grand theft auto, and false imprisonment, but was released back into our Homeland under incompetent Joe Biden because Cuba did not want such an evil person in their Country. Rest assured, the time for being soft on these Illegal Immigrant Criminals is OVER under my watch!” Trump added. (IANS)
