Aamir Khan’s 60th: A Night Of Revelations, Romance, And Star-Studded Celebrations

MUMBAI- Bollywood’s beloved “Mr. Perfectionist” Aamir Khan celebrated his 60th birthday in grand style, surrounded by close friends, family, and industry icons. The intimate gathering at his Mumbai residence saw the presence of superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, along with filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi, as they joined in to mark the milestone occasion.

While Shah Rukh remained elusive, carefully avoiding the paparazzi, Salman was spotted exiting Aamir’s home with the birthday star, creating a rare and nostalgic moment for Bollywood fans.

Beyond the celebrations, Aamir made headlines with a revelation about his personal life, officially introducing his longtime friend-turned-partner, Gauri. “We’ve known each other for 25 years, but for the past year and a half, we’ve been committed partners. My kids are happy, and I’m fortunate to have great relationships with my ex-wives,” he shared. Adding a romantic touch to the occasion, Aamir even sang Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein for Gauri, referencing his Lagaan character Bhuvan and his love interest, also named Gauri.

During a media interaction earlier in the day, Aamir also reflected on some of the major films he turned down, including Darr and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which later became blockbusters with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, respectively. “I was supposed to do Darr, but for reasons beyond creativity, I backed out. Looking back, Yash Chopra’s vision suited Shah Rukh better,” he admitted. Regarding Bajrangi Bhaijaan, he revealed that writer K. Vijayendra Prasad first approached him with the script. “I liked it but felt Salman would be a better fit, so I suggested they take it to him,” he said.

As Aamir embarks on this new chapter in both his personal and professional life, he is set to return to the big screen with Sitaare Zameen Par, promising yet another compelling performance.
