Anuj Dixit Launches Campaign For Congress In California’s 41st District
India-West Staff Reporter
CORONA, CA – Anuj Dixit, a Democratic lawyer and Inland Empire native, announced his campaign on May 21 for California’s 41st Congressional District, challenging longtime Republican incumbent Ken Calvert. Dixit says his campaign will focus squarely on revitalizing the middle class and restoring economic opportunity for working families.
“In the 30 years since Ken Calvert went to Congress, Washington stopped working for the middle class,” Dixit said in his announcement. “My parents came to this country in pursuit of the American dream. Their values inspired my career—and now, my campaign for Congress.”
A son of immigrants and the child of a U.S. Air Force veteran, Dixit grew up on March Air Force Base in Riverside County. He says his candidacy is rooted in personal experience and a legal career devoted to fighting for voting rights, fair elections, and economic justice.

Citing rising costs and corporate influence in politics, Dixit pledged to take on monopolies, ban corporate PAC contributions, and cut taxes for middle-class families. “The system is rigged for insiders,” Dixit said. “I’m running to shake it up.”
His campaign also highlights personal tragedy and resilience. Dixit lost family members in the 1988 Pan Am 103 bombing over Lockerbie and came of age in the wake of 9/11—experiences that, he says, shaped his drive to serve and protect core democratic values.
A graduate of UCLA and Columbia Law School, Dixit has clerked for a federal judge, prepared testimony for Congressional hearings, and litigated high-profile voting rights cases. He also helps manage his family’s health clinic, which serves low-income patients in the Inland Empire.
“Fair elections are how working people get a seat at the table,” Dixit said. “I’ve spent my career fighting for that—and I’ll take that same fight to Congress.”
Dixit’s campaign positions him as a fresh alternative to Calvert, one of the longest-serving Republicans in the House. The Inland Empire district includes parts of Riverside County and is considered a competitive seat in the 2025 election.

Welcome! Anuj Dixit. The 41st Congressional District is ready for change. The last two battles were close but very expensive for the Democratic Party candidate Will Rollins. He gave a good fight but lost narrowly. It was not due to the committed staff and volunteers, but because of the socio-economic demographic data of the district. The Eastern part of Riverside County, the Coachella Valley, did turn out favorably to the Democrats; however, the San Bernardino County area, especially Corona and surrounding rural cities, overwhelmed the Democratic base in the Coachella Valley. My recommendation is to start campaigning as soon as possible. Assemble the staff and keep the same campaign offices as Rollins did. Will Rollins have the list of all volunteers. Ask him about it. The California Democratic Party will be willing to support you and help you with a couple of professional campaign organizers.
