The event was organized by the Consulate General of India, San Francisco, in collaboration with the Association of Indo Americans (AIA), Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center, Silicon Valley, and several community organizations.

The program featured a guided meditation session led by Sister Kusum and yoga demonstrations conducted by Manoj Joshi and Ambili Sudhakaran. Participants engaged in practices designed to promote physical health, mental well-being, mindfulness, and healthy ageing.

As a co-hosting organization, AIA said the event reflected its ongoing efforts to promote wellness, cultural understanding and community engagement through programs that bring people together.

Community leaders attending the celebration noted that yoga has evolved beyond a physical exercise to become a global movement for holistic health, inner peace and harmony. They said the observance served as a reminder of yoga’s enduring relevance in fostering healthier lifestyles and stronger communities.

The strong turnout reflected the growing popularity of International Day of Yoga celebrations across the Bay Area and increasing recognition of yoga’s role in enhancing quality of life.
