MUMBAI – Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli’s recent appearance at a memorial event for his childhood coach, Ramakant Achrekar, has raised concerns among fans about his health. A widely circulated video showed Kambli struggling to walk and clinging to his longtime friend and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar for support.
According to a close friend, Kambli has faced significant health challenges, including undergoing rehabilitation 14 times. The ex-cricketer’s struggles have prompted messages of support from former teammates and cricketing icons.
Kapil Dev, the former Indian cricket captain, expressed his encouragement for Kambli, emphasizing that recovery requires a willingness to take the first step.
Kambli and Tendulkar, celebrated as two of India’s most talented cricketers, began their journeys together under Achrekar’s guidance, forging a bond that continues to resonate with cricket fans across the nation.
