Sanaya Irani Celebrates 15 Years Of ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’

MUMBAI– Popular television drama ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’, starring Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti, completed 15 years on June 6.

Marking the milestone, Irani shared a special social media tribute and participated in a rapid-fire question-and-answer session with one of the show’s writers. In a series of social media clips, she revisited behind-the-scenes moments from the show, answering questions about her experience on set, her equation with co-stars, filming romantic scenes, and other memorable aspects of the production.

Expressing gratitude to viewers who have continued to cherish the show long after it went off the air, Irani wrote on Instagram: “15 years! Time flies. TBH, I thought it was twenty! Lol! Just as a token of love, we have a QnA of 15 slides, but nothing can match the 15 raised to the power of infinity love that all of you have for us! You guys have made us eternal and we are blessed to have connected with you and found ourselves as a small place to live in your hearts rent free! Love to all.”

In the series, Irani played Khushi Kumari Gupta, while Sobti portrayed Arnav Singh Raizada. Their on-screen chemistry helped make ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ one of Indian television’s most popular romantic dramas.

Produced by Gul Khan, Nissar Parvez, and Rajesh Chadha under the banner of 4 Lions Films, the show aired on StarPlus from June 6, 2011, to Nov. 30, 2012. Along with Irani and Sobti, the cast included Dalljiet Kaur, Sana Makbul, Akshay Dogra, Abhaas Mehta, Utkarsha Naik, Deepali Pansare, Rajesh Jais, and others in key roles. (IANS)
