NEW DELHI – The youth-led “Cockroach Janta Party” (CJP) is set to launch a nationwide campaign following a demonstration at Jantar Mantar on June 6, 2026. Founder Abhijeet Dipke, who led the Delhi rally after returning from the United States, has issued a seven-day ultimatum: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan must either resign or be dismissed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dipke announced that if this demand is not met, the movement will travel across multiple states to mobilize students and youth for an even larger protest in the national capital.

Dipke emphasized that the campaign aims to foster a culture of constant civic oversight rather than relying solely on the electoral process. Addressing the recent controversies surrounding the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and the CBSE’s on-screen marking (OSM) system, he argued that these systemic failures have jeopardized the future of over one crore students.

“Merely voting once in five years is not politics,” Dipke stated, asserting that the Prime Minister bears ultimate responsibility for the Minister of Education’s tenure. Challenging the government’s priorities, he added, “If the Prime Minister can intervene in the Russia-Ukraine war, why can’t he stop the paper leaks?”

The June 6 protest drew hundreds of students, parents, and professionals to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Despite the presence of 40 companies of paramilitary forces, the event remained peaceful. Dipke, seen carrying B.R. Ambedkar’s autobiography, urged supporters to remain non-violent, declaring that the movement has proven “Gen Z is not afraid” to demand systemic change.

While the movement has gained traction with the support of activist Sonam Wangchuk, it faces opposition from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). BJP MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade has dismissed the group’s political legitimacy, claiming that organizations born on social media lack the necessary structure for governance.

Despite this skepticism, the CJP asserts that its priority is systemic accountability rather than electoral ambition. As the group prepares for its next phase of expansion, it says its focus remains on securing accountability for alleged examination lapses while mobilizing support across the country.
