Freida Pinto Predicts ‘TV Husband’ Indraneil Sengupta Will Stun Viewers

LOS ANGELES, CA-Hollywood actress Freida Pinto has praised actor Indraneil Sengupta’s performance in the upcoming Netflix series ‘Unaccustomed Earth’, saying her “TV husband” is “going to leave you all stunned.”

Sengupta shared a series of looks from the upcoming series on Instagram, giving viewers a first look at the drama inspired by Jhumpa Lahiri’s internationally acclaimed short story collection of the same name.

“Love. Loss. Belonging. Here’s your first look at Unaccustomed Earth, inspired by the internationally beloved Jhumpa Lahiri short story collection, premiering December 17 only on @netflix,” Sengupta wrote.

Pinto, who stars in the series alongside Sengupta, responded in the comments: “Let it be known that my TV husband, Indraneil Sengupta is going to leave you all stunned. Dec 17th come soon.”

Sengupta thanked his “supportive TV wife,” replying, “May your words come true.”

‘Unaccustomed Earth’ is inspired by Lahiri’s short story collection and follows an Indian-American community in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as its members navigate love, desire and belonging.

The series centers on a star-crossed romance between a devoted wife and her long-lost love. When their relationship comes to light, it sparks an affair and draws new battle lines within the closely connected immigrant community.

The series will premiere on Netflix on December 17. (IANS)
