MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – The International Cricket Council (ICC) and Google have announced a landmark partnership aimed at boosting the global profile of women’s cricket. This women’s-only collaboration will leverage Google’s technology and expertise to enhance fan engagement, increase accessibility, and drive the growth of the women’s game.

The timing of the partnership is significant, with two major events on the horizon: the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, to be held in India and Sri Lanka, and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England and Wales. Google plans to integrate its products—such as Android, Google Gemini, Google Pay, and Google Pixel—into fan experiences, creating innovative ways for audiences to engage with matches and players.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah called the partnership a milestone for women’s cricket. “This partnership with Google underlines our commitment to taking the women’s game to even greater heights,” he said. “By harnessing Google’s world-class innovation, we can create more engaging experiences for fans and bring the sport closer to people everywhere.”

Shekar Khosla, VP Marketing at Google India, emphasized the long-term vision of the collaboration. “Women’s cricket is growing faster than ever before,” he said. “This partnership will accelerate its global reach and inspire future generations to see cricket as a game where they belong. It’s about building deeper engagement, making the sport more accessible, and helping fans feel a stronger connection to what they care about.”
