Kusumben Hark Vasa Passes Away

BUENA PARK, CA – Kusumben Hark Vasa, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 29. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and joy, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication, her family said.
Born in Mumbai to Bhailalbhai and Jayaben Doshi, Kusum grew up in a family with two brothers who have predeceased her. She excelled academically, earning a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education, and went on to become a respected high school teacher in Mumbai, inspiring countless students in English and Science.
In 1970, Kusum married Harkishan Vasa and soon moved to the United States, first residing in Philadelphia and later in Los Angeles. Together, they built a life rich in family, travel, and shared endeavors. Kusum enthusiastically supported Harkishan in his business ventures, attending trade shows and conferences with him, the family said.
Kusum was a vivacious and loving soul, known for her intelligence, and warmth. She loved to sing and dance, always lighting up every gathering with her energy and joy.
Alongside her husband, Kusum nurtured and guided their two daughters, Anita and Sarita. She cherished her grandchildren—Meera and Amara, Sachi and Ayan—and took immense pride in their achievements.
Her funeral service has been set for November 5, 10 am at Fairhaven Memorial Park, Santa Ana, CA
