Late Natu Patel Honored With Lifetime Achievement Award In New Jersey

FORDS, NJ — The Indo-American Cultural Association of Edison, NJ, honored the late Natu Patel with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award at a memorial event at Royal Albert Palace, recognizing more than three decades of his leadership and selfless service to the community as a former IACA president and trustee.

Patel was remembered by physicians, pharmacists, community leaders and representatives of organizations from across the tri-state area.

IACA Trustee Girish Soni and Pushpa Patel, wife of late IACA Chairman Dr. Rasikbhai Patel, led the event.

Tributes were delivered by physicians Dr. Harish Bhatt, Dr. Mukesh Solanki and Dr. Manoj Desai; pharmacist Manu Parikh; Edison Councilman Patil; AIA Past President Uma Swaminathan; and representatives of the Gandhian Society, Indo-American Council of Senior Citizens of Edison, Swajan, Gujarat Samaj NJ, Royal Rice, the Taxi & Limo Association, ICS of Union, Saptak Group and Dwarkadhish Temple.

FISANA also received an Appreciation Award in Patel’s memory. His wife, Mina Patel, and sons Dhawal and Deval Patel accepted the award on behalf of the family, along with FISANA Secretary Yogesh Trivedi and former FISANA presidents and committee members.
