Madhur Bhandarkar Backs Marathi Cinema Fest In San Jose

SAN JOSE, CA — Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar joined the North American Film Association (NAFA) Marathi Film Festival 2025,  from July 25 to 27 at the historic California Theatre.

The National Award-winning director praised NAFA as a key platform for showcasing the richness and diversity of Marathi cinema worldwide. “Excited to support the vibrant global reach of our regional cinema. Congratulations to NAFA founder Abhijit Gholap and his team for a remarkable show,” Bhandarkar said.

Currently, he is working on his upcoming project, The Wives, a drama exploring the hidden scandals, gossip, power struggles, and luxury behind the lives of Bollywood star wives. “The aim is to bring these untold stories, inspired by real incidents, to the big screen,” he shared. (IANS)
