WASHINGTON, DC – President Donald Trump has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the White House next week, a White House official confirmed on February 3.

Reuters pointed out that the US is India’s largest trading partner and the trade between the two countries crossed $118 billion in 2023-24, with India posting a trade surplus of $32 billion.

After Trump took office for his second tenure, he spoke with PM Modi on January 27 and stressed the importance of India purchasing more security equipment which are American manufactured and have fairer bilateral trading ties.

Delhi is concerned also about immigration rules as the H1B visas and the repatriated money from Indians in the US contributes greatly to the Indian economy.

  • After Israel, it looks like Prime Minister Modi of India may be the second important foreign visitor within the first month of President Trump’s second Presidency. President Trump was the first President to call India a CLOSEST ALLY of the USA on a par with the UK or Israel. Trump also has offered India to transfer any and all American technologies. Ukraine war has proved beyond doubt that Russian military hardware is far inferior to that of the US. I think it is about time India stops using Russian military equipments. Wars are won by sophisticated technologies and the US is Number one today. I wish to congratulate Modi for developing close relations with Trump and the USA.
