LOS ANGELES, CA – Filmmaker Neha Lohia has collaborated with actress Rituparna Sengupta, singer Swapnali Gaikwad, and a team of artists and technicians to present a music video and song titled “Devi Song: Unmasked Goddess – A Journey of Empowerment.” The project unites talents from around the world to celebrate the power of the feminine and is set to captivate audiences worldwide.
Lohia, the director, conceptualized, produced, and directed the music video with a focus on women’s empowerment. The international cast includes Ankita Makwana, Christine Mendes, Holly Zuelle, Nirupama Chandrashekhar, Indranila, and Elina Annmary Kurian, portraying various facets of the protagonist, Shakti to represent the multifaceted nature of the feminine spirit.
“Devi Song: Unmasked Goddess – A Journey of Empowerment” transcends boundaries, unites cultures, and inspires women to shed their masks and embrace their inner strength, Lohia said. It aligns with the goddess festival of Navratri in India. Her project while paying homage to the divine feminine, invites women to embrace their integrated selves and the Shakti within.
For Sengupta, it holds significance as she hails from Bengal, where Durga Puja is culturally significant.
The video portrays the chaos of modern life as the protagonist journeys through busy cities, experiencing an inner transformation as she encounters different aspects of herself. It culminates in a powerful dance of empowerment.
Gaikwad, the singer, collaborated with musician Rajan Sarvade to create a composition that complements the video’s message, aimed at becoming an anthem for women.
