NFIA Installs New Board Headed By Raj Razdan

ATLANTA, GA – The National Federation of Indian American Associations (NFIA) held its elections in the end December 2022 and has installed the newly elected board for the calendar year 2023, a press release said.
Helmed by the new President, Raj Razdan, the installation ceremony of the new board was conducted via virtually. The swearing-in was administered by Kewal Kanda, a noted community leader from Southern California.
A motion was passed to appoint Babu Bhai Patel as the Chair of the NFIA foundation, Dr. Hari. Subash Razdan was appointed as the Chairperson of the Bye-Laws Committee.
In her acceptance speech, Razdan, while thanking NFIA officials and pledging to do more for the community, said, “the last 35 years have been a transformative journey for NFIA as we traversed the landscape of nonprofits searching for scalable solutions by dependable organizations transforming the image of NFIA”.
Razdan, based in GA has an accomplished record of community outreach, the release noted while detailing her vast body of work with the community. She is a scientist, who has been involved with bench work research, presently working as a Clinical Research Coordinator. She has taught at various universities and has co-authored many scientific papers.
The newly elected officers for the year 2023 are:
Executive Vice President: Satish (Sunny) Gabhawala (IN); Vice President – Public Relations: Ashok (Pat) Patnaik (CA); Vice President – Membership: Aparna Hande (CA); Vice President – Fund Raising: Satish Parikh (OH); Secretary: Dr. Sukrit Mukherjee (CA); Joint Secretary: Kamlesh Munshi (MD); Treasurer: Dr. Om Sharma (MD).
