Priya Dutt Remembers Carter, Shares Vintage Photo With Father Sunil Dutt
MUMBAI (ANI) – Condoling the passing of Jimmy Carter, politician Priya Dutt shared a nostalgic moment, posting a vintage black-and-white photo of her father, veteran star Sunil Dutt, with the former US President and his wife, Rosalynn.
“The world has lost another extraordinary soul with the passing of Jimmy Carter. A man who tirelessly worked for peace and humanity. Sharing a precious moment of my dad with him and his wife Rosalynn that reminds me of the kindness and warmth he shared with the world. Rest in peace,” Priya captioned the post.
Throughout his remarkable life, Carter wore many hats—small-town peanut farmer, US Navy veteran, and Governor of Georgia from 1971 to 1975. As the 39th President of the United States, he is remembered for his role in the Camp David Accords, which led to the first significant Israeli withdrawal from territory captured in the Six-Day War of 1967 and the enduring peace treaty between Israel and Egypt.
In recognition of his decades of work toward peaceful resolutions, Carter was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to promote democracy, human rights, and social development. He also played a pivotal role in the Panama Canal treaties, strengthening US relations with Latin American nations.
