Infosys Names Ashiss Kumar Dash As New CEO
BENGALURU – IT services major Infosys on July 23 announced that Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Salil Parekh will step down after more than nine years at the helm, with the company’s board naming senior executive Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO-designate.
Infosys said Parekh will step down effective April 1, 2027. Having joined the company in January 2018, he is the longest-serving non-founder CEO in Infosys’ history. His current five-year term was scheduled to end on March 31, 2027.
In a regulatory filing, the company said the board had approved its intention to appoint Dash as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director with effect from April 1, 2027, subject to the fulfilment of all statutory requirements.
Dash, who currently heads a global business portfolio spanning multiple industry verticals, is set to succeed Parekh after the completion of his second term. He has held senior leadership roles across customer-facing businesses, delivery and global operations in multiple geographies, and also leads Infosys’ sustainability business. According to the company, he has consistently delivered strong business performance, helped clients navigate complex business and technology transformations, and built high-performing global teams.
Infosys Chairman Nandan Nilekani said the board chose an internal leader to guide the company through the next phase of industry transformation.(IANS)
