Sid-Kiara exchanged vows in Jaisalmer’s Suryagarh palace

Jaipur, (IANS)  Sid-Kiara exchanged vows in Jaisalmer’s Suryagarh palace on Tuesday after the mehendi ceremony and sangeet night on Monday.

The mandap had been decorated with indigenous and foreign flowers in Jaisalmer’s Suryagarh palace hotel to give the wedding a royal look.

The bride and groom’s nuptials began in earnest on Tuesday morning, with the women in their respective families applying turmeric paste to their bodies. The Varmala and Pheras took place in the hotel courtyard. For wedding rituals, a special ‘bavdi’ was also set up.

There was a lot of activity outside and inside the hotel that started early in the morning. Security was very tight. All the hotel employees, guards, and drivers were only allowed in after being thoroughly screened.

The Delhi-based band was ready to accompany the groom during the baraat. The groom’s ghodi had been decorated with colorful ornamentations and taken inside the palace fort.

Isha Ambani, Kiara‘s schoolmate, flew into Jaisalmer on Sunday night in her private jet and returned to Mumbai late Monday night after attending the day’s festivities.
