State Dept. Officials Visit Jain Temple In Buena Park, CA

BUENA PARK, CA – Assistant Secretary of South and Central Asia Donald Lu along with State department, Senior Advisor for Domestic Outreach Jennifer Miller and Marissa Morales, Administrative Support Specialist to the Assistant Secretary recently engaged with members of the Jain community at the community’s temple here.
For the State Department, it was in continuation of its commitment to fostering stronger relations through cultural exchanges. Lu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect with the local Jain community, recognizing their substantial contributions to the diverse fabric of Los Angeles. “Indian Americans are integral to the robust ties between the US and India,” Lu remarked. “I’m privileged to engage with the Jain community in Southern California and gain insights into their impactful work across Los Angeles.”
Democratic Party activist from Northern California, Ajay Bhutoria emphasized that US India relationship is strongest under President Joe Biden and Secretary Antony Blinken. Present were the Jain temple’s leadership team, including JAINA past president Mahesh Wadher, temple president Sameer Shah, and executive team members who spent time speaking of their faith.
