MANHATTAN, NY – Tanishq USA made its debut at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) on February 10, collaborating with designer Bibhu Mohapatra for his Fall 2025 collection, The Pilgrimage. Held at The Pierre Hotel, the show featured over 40 handcrafted jewelry pieces in gold, diamonds, and polki work, complementing Mohapatra’s designs.
Bibhu’s Fall 2025 show presented a seamless blend between his silhouettes and the masterpieces that Tanishq has crafted over the years.
Tanishq, a Tata Group brand, has expanded its presence in the U.S. with stores in New Jersey, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, and Seattle. The company is known for blending traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Mohapatra, who has styled public figures such as Jennifer Lopez and former First Lady Michelle Obama, incorporated elements of Indian heritage into his latest collection. The collaboration highlighted the artistry behind both brands.
“Tanishq USA is thrilled about this partnership with Bibhu Mohapatra,” said Amrit Pal Singh, Business Head of Tanishq USA. “It was born from the natural synergy between the inspiration behind our creations and the essence of Bibhu’s work.”
He continued, “Both celebrate a modern interpretation of India’s rich, eclectic nuances, bringing them to global audiences.”
“Our designs are crafted to complement the bold statements at the heart of his collection,” Singh added. “They enhance its core elements with elegance and sophistication.”
He concluded, “We extend our best wishes to Bibhu and his Fall collection, anticipating its remarkable success.”
Mohapatra called the partnership a personal milestone. “I am incredibly excited for this homecoming moment,” he said. “My namesake brand is joining hands with one of the most respected and heritage-rich fine jewelry houses from my birth land, India.”
“Growing up, Tanishq was a beacon of craftsmanship and trust for my family,” he added. “That makes this collaboration deeply personal.”
“It is an extraordinary honor to unveil my Fall 2025 collection at NYFW,” Mohapatra said. “This experience feels like coming full circle with the creative forces that are so profoundly rooted in my Indian heritage.”
Tanishq operates over 400 retail stores worldwide, including locations in India, North America, the Middle East, and the Far East, with plans for further expansion in key U.S. markets.
