Tiku Talsania Harbors Fond Memories Of SRK
NEW DELHI (ANI)- Veteran actor Tiku Talsania recently reminisced about working with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, recalling memorable moments from their time together on several films including Devdas, Duplicate, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, and Oh Darling Yeh Hai India.
Talsania shared a cherished memory of SRK letting him drive his new car.
“Unhone nayi gaadi khareedi, mujhe ride di. Maine kaha ki chalau main? Unhone kaha le jao. I drove to Nariman Point and came back. It was a big thing for me that Shah Rukh Khan let me drive his car,” he said.
Calling Shah Rukh Khan a “wonderful actor,” Talsania praised his extensive body of work.
“His merit list is much higher than his work. That’s why he’s called King Khan.”
Reflecting on the filming of Oh Darling Yeh Hai India (1995), he recalled an incident where a delayed payment led to frustration. “I got a little heated on set. Shah Rukh asked what happened, and I told him the cheque had bounced six times, yet we were still working.” And SRK calmed him down.
He also recounted SRK’s immense fan following. “Fans surrounded him and started pulling his hair because they loved him so much. Somehow, we managed to get him back on set.”
Talsania, known for his iconic comic roles, has also shared screen space with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in Andaz Apna Apna (1994). He expressed his willingness to be part of a sequel if it’s ever made. “Why not? It’s an iconic film,” he said.
Talsania is celebrated for his comic timing in films such as Ishq, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Hungama, and Dhamaal. His daughter, Shikha Talsania, has followed in his footsteps with roles in Wake Up Sid and Veere Di Wedding.
